Barcelona are seemingly not ready to walk away from potential transfer dealings with Liverpool as they weigh up a pursuit for yet another Red.
The Catalan giants are reportedly set to target one of Philippe Coutinho’s teammates after seeing three bids for the Brazilian, the third worth up to £118million, instantly rejected by Liverpool.
With a view to bolster their attacking resources even more, Barca are now targeting Sadio Mane along with Real Madrid and Juventus, according to the Mirror.
Speculation linking Mane to Europe’s top clubs was always going to surface given not only his rise as, arguably, Jurgen Klopp’s star man but also Coutinho’s failed move.
Liverpool won’t want to find themselves in another long-running battle and will be confident of keeping hold of their key players thanks to their firm stance over the summer.
Though the latest rumour is one to be acknowledged with caution, potential interest in Mane would come as no surprise when considering the leap he has made since his move from Southampton.
He carries the kind of threat capable of seeing him thrive in any team, and the kind of threat Klopp will not be prepared to give up under any circumstances.
If Barcelona are coming for anyone, it’s Coutinho.
