FSG hold meeting with playmaker’s family in Boston

When will the Catalan media get over the fact Coutinho didn’t sign for Barcelona this summer, despite their claims from Minute One that a deal was ‘done’?

Well, not yet, is the answer…

Today, Sport, who regularly published false information about the prospective transfer during the window, have suggested another meeting has been held between Liverpool’s owners and Coutinho’s family in Boston.

The report, translated by Sport Witness, claims that while Jurgen Klopp and the player stayed on Merseyside, our no.10’s family met with John W. Henry and Tom Werner in America to discuss the fallout from the summer.

Sport say that while Coutinho is happy to deliver the goods for Liverpool this season, his long-term ambitions still lie in Spain with Barcelona.

Well, in all honesty, we already knew that, thanks very much. But right now, no matter how much tapping up and spin Barca’s media outlets put on the story – he’s not going anywhere.

So perhaps they should leave it alone and enjoy their good start to the season, instead.
