Bayern Munich are still no closer to hiring a new manager after sacking Carlo Ancelotti last week…
The legendary Italian won the Bundesliga last term, but some of his squad turned against him at the beginning of this term and the Germans thought it best for them fire him.
As a result, Jurgen Klopp is among many different coaches who’ve been spuriously linked to the job – probably for no other reason than his nationality and his success in their league.
There’s no chance of him leaving Liverpool right now, but former Bayern centre-back Christoph Metzelder has spoken up the possibility.
Metzelder told Sky Sports Germany: “From my point of view, Jurgen Klopp would be ready.
“He is a top man-manager and could make the complex power relationship work wonderfully.
“[Julian] Nagelsmann is an outstanding trainer, but Bayern Munich is of course a different size [club to Hoffenheim].”
Klopp is far too loyal to Borussia Dortmund to ever join Bayern, unlike many of his ex-players.
He also has a project at Liverpool he wishes to see through and we can’t imagine he’d up and leave for any job in world football, actually.
We truly believe he’ll be loyal until he ever sees up his contract or is shown the door, so as fans, it’s our job to show it back to him.
