Klopp says what everyone is thinking about Man City…

Can you win the Premier League playing attacking football? Ask Pep Guardiola, says Jurgen Klopp, who believes his rival is going to walk the title this term…

Currently, Manchester City are blitzing the domestic competition, not only winning matches – but thrashing opponents on a weekly basis.

We were one of the victims earlier in the campaign, losing 5-0 at the Etihad, although that was very much influenced by the Sadio Mane red card.

City are five points clear going into this weekend, a full 12 points ahead of Klopp’s Liverpool.

Klopp told SFR Sport, when asked about whether offensive tactics can win titles: “Ask Pep Guardiola and Manchester City: ‘What do you think?’ In this moment it looks like they are champions in January or something.

“It’s not about doing it this way or that way, it’s about doing it the right way for your own team. That’s one thing, and you have to respect the other teams around, they do a very good job too.”

Guardiola’s team is playing exceptionally, but it’s perhaps no surprise when they fixed every problem area with millions of pounds in the summer.

The likes of Mendy, Silva, Ederson and Walker arrived, while the only first-teamer we signed was Mo Salah.

The Egyptian has been superb, but most of his team-mates were playing for Liverpool when Brendan Rodgers was in charge…

Klopp probably hasn’t made the moves in the market he should have done, since arriving.
