Joel Matip has fully recovered from the thigh injury that has kept him out of Liverpool’s past two fixtures, reports the IBTimes.

The 26-year-old, widely regarded as our best centre-back, missed the Southampton win and Sevilla draw to the issue but was in full training last night, meaning he’ll be available to start against Chelsea tomorrow.

Jurgen Klopp now has to decide which of Ragnar Klavan or Dejan Lovren will make way for Matip, or whether to stick with his Croatian/Estonian combination that despite our three goal collapse, did well in Spain.

Ragnar Klavan has done well in our past five games, but will likely make way for Matip.

In all likelihood, for a game as big as Chelsea, Klopp will go with Matip and Lovren, with Klavan’s lack of pace a weakness against Eden Hazard and Alvaro Morata.

Alberto Moreno will also be under the microscope following his errors against Sevilla, but we’re sure Klopp will stick with the Spaniard, who’s been very good in the Premier League.
