Coutinho might be joining Barcelona, but at least our other world-class operator, Jurgen Klopp, isn’t joining Bayern Munich.
In an interview with German television channel SPORT1, Klopp’s agent Marc Kosicke downplayed any suggestion his client would depart.
“There’s nothing there,” he flatly claimed. “At all”.
There’ve been suggestions that the perennial Bundesliga champions want to appoint Klopp at the end of this season, following the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti and temporary position they’ve awarded Jupp Heynckes.
But thankfully, unlike our Brazilian, Klopp will stay loyal to his contract; one which keeps him his job until 2022.
Klopp hasn’t been perfect since joining Liverpool in 2015, but he’s given us hope and helped us compete with every other club in the top flight.
On our day, we can beat anybody and the way in which he’s brought in elite operators such as Sadio Mane, Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Naby Keita is extremely impressive.
He’s up against it, but we truly believe Klopp will eventually bring success to Anfield once again.
