Chelsea are in talks with West Ham over the transfer of Andy Carroll this month.
The Guardian says the Irons are hoping to recoup £20m for his services.
Jan Oblak was invited to Liverpool & shown Melwood… But injury scuppered deal
The English forward was infamously signed by Liverpool for £35m in 2011, and remained our record transfer until Mo Salah’s signing from Roma broke it in summer 2017.
He was a serious flop, of course.
So for Chelsea to now buy the forward, who’s only hit double figures in the Premier League once, aged 29, is crazy.
Their fans are fuming about the proposed signing and Liverpool fans have enjoyed it on Twitter, too!

Chelsea paying £30M for Andy Carroll at this point in his career, even in this inflated market, is dumber than Liverpool buying him for £35M back in the day.

Andy Carroll has nicked a move to Liverpool and now maybe Chelsea. For an almost permanently injured footballer, that's remarkable.
