The Venezuelan has just three goals this term, and 20 in total since arriving at the start of the 2015/16 campaign.

Now, we’d much prefer Liverpool just kept hold of Daniel Sturridge, in all honesty. The Englishman has lost his legs, but he’s still quicker than Rondon, and a much better finisher to boot.

Rondon can hold the ball up quite well and is a real battler up top, but we’ve seen strikers of his style in Christian Benteke, Rickie Lambert and Andy Carroll fail miserably at Liverpool in recent seasons.

As a result, we can’t see Liverpool loaning out Sturridge and then spending money on Rondon. We might as well just put that cash on getting Naby Keita here early, who’d have a much bigger impact.

Not going to happen, this one.

Surely…

We don’t want to see the fan reaction after United buy Sanchez, Arsenal Mkhitaryan, Chelsea Dzeko and we lose Coutinho but bring on Rondon.
