Karius: Why I played badly before
The German has been very good in recent weeks, especially since Virgil van Dijk began starting every game.
And as a result, has kept four clean-sheets in his past six performances.
In fact, his save percentage domestically this season is now BETTER than world-class Hugo Lloris and level with equally superb Thibaut Courtois.
Big Loris Karius – save % now at 68% the same as Courtois, and 1% better than Hugo Lloris at 67%
Performance is now at top 4 keeper minimum for saves to shots ratio.
Remember when the Sky narrative was he was the worst shot stopper in the league. pic.twitter.com/VZxSbKZsoD

Karius’s save percentage was always used as a stick with which to beat him in the past, but now he’s consistently in the team – he’s finally beginning to show his true potential.
The 24-year-old seems a confidence player, which is actually not ideal for a goalkeeper, but providing things keep going well, he’ll be a safe pair of hands from now until the end of the season.
