Liverpool could certainly do with a new goalkeeper, but reports in Spain suggest we’re up against a determined Arsenal in the race to sign Jan Oblak.
The Atletico Madrid shot-stopper would do very nicely indeed as a replacement for Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, and AS claim he has a release clause of €100million.

The Spanish site suggest it’s a battle between us and Arsenal for Oblak this summer, though the Gunners seem to be stepping up their interest at this moment in time.
Crucially, they may also be prepared to meet that release clause – something Liverpool might want to be wary of even if they are a bit desperate in that position.
€100m seems a monumental amount for a goalkeeper even in this market, and you’d have to think we could get someone just as good for significantly cheaper than that.
Then again, forking out for Virgil van Dijk in January doesn’t exactly look bad business now, and Jurgen Klopp did recently suggest he could pull such a move again…
‘If the player is the right player this club will pay big money,’ Klopp was quoted in the Independent.
‘When the player is the right player it is not important how expensive he was. He needs to fit in the team, that’s why we paid the price (for Van Dijk).’
