Klopp denounces fear: ‘I have natural authority,’ ‘No one is bigger than me’

We usually hear Jurgen Klopp laughing, joking and peddling the same ultra-positive unified Liverpool rhetoric – which is absolutely a good thing!

But there’s times when his interviews seem a little repeated and like he’s not giving out much information – which is also totally fair.

For this reason though, we enjoyed a clip from an interview with France Football, translated by the Mirror, when  he was asked if he’s ever afraid:

“No, never,” he began.

“Fear is never a good thing, even when you have to tell a player that you are not renewing his contract.

“I think I have a natural authority. I have a voice that carries and I am 6ft 3.6ins tall.

“Apart from Virgil van Dijk and perhaps Joel Matip, who are nice men, no-one is bigger than me.”

It’s obvious that Klopp has a streak in him and that he’s not scared of having it out either on the training ground or in the dressing room.

Hopefully though this season we’ll be riding on a wave of positivity throughout and Klopp won’t have to lose his temper on too many occasions!

We’re one win from one, although face a tougher test against Crystal Palace next time out. Typically we struggle at Selhurst Park, although grabbed a win there last season through Mo Salah.
