Joe Gomez had his best ever game for Liverpool at the weekend…
The 21-year-old made interceptions, tackles, blocks and actually outperformed his much lauded partner Virgil van Dijk.
As a result, we think he’ll keep his spot in the first-team after the international break, too.
Something that’s circling the internet today though has been a throw-in Gomez took in second-half injury time. The youngster launched a flat ball into the box, although there was actually nobody in there to attack it.
Last week, we appointed Thomas Grønnemark as a specialist throw-in coach, and it appears he may already be having an impact!
Maybe it’ll be another weapon in our offensive armoury by the end of the campaign.
This is for you Andy Gray. 🖕
Joe Gomez's throw in that went beyond the centre of goal near the 6-yard box & served as a massive offensive threat! ⚽ pic.twitter.com/MSIwy2gWqX
