The 6ft.7′ forward actually dedicates an entire chapter to Steven Gerrard, which shows just how highly he rates our legendary former captain.
Crouch arrived in 2005, just after Gerrard had lifted the Champions League, and left in 2008, having notched 42 goals in total.
Throughout the entirety of his Liverpool tenure, Gerrard was captain, as he was at times during Crouch’s England career, too.
And below, you’ll hear Crouch’s first impression of Stevie, whom he played against in youth football back in the late 1990s.
