Gary Neville says Liverpool’s ‘devastating’ front three would all get into Manchester City’s first XI because they are the best front line in the Premier League.
The former Manchester United man said on Monday Night Football, via The Express: “In possession and out of possession they are absolutely devastating.
“I haven’t got a bad word to say about them. I think that’s the best front three in the Premier League. It is absolutely incredible. It has everything.”
The trio have been criticised for not being up to the same standards they hit last year, but with more points on the board at this stage of the season, it hasn’t been hindering in the slightest.
Manchester City are often praised for their attacking play, but Neville says Liverpool’s main goal threats are better.
Neville added: “If you said to Pep [Guardiola] privately ‘would you swap your front three for that front three?’, I think he would.”
Let’s hope Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane prove Neville’s point when Manchester United visit Anfield on Sunday.
