Gini Wijnaldum was jaw-dropping against Arsenal on December 29th…
The Dutchman totally bossed the show in the middle of the park and was instrumental in our 5-1 hammering of Unai Emery’s men.
So good was Gini, Jurgen Klopp brought him off after 76 minutes to save him for the Manchester City clash at the start of the New Year.
The boss made sure the media noted how highly rated Gini is in the dressing room:
Away from those who grab the headlines, Gini Wijnaldum is again having one of those important games when he keeps everything together. His fingerprints over everything good Liverpool are doing.

Every time Wijnaldum got the ball, he took opponents out of the picture by breaking lines and playing smart, quick passes.
He uses his body exceptionally well to shield the ball, and his first touch is outrageous.
On form like this, the Dutchman is as good as any midfielder in the top flight.
He really as that good.
