Reds linked with move for £27 million ‘Lallana replacement’

Liverpool are set to move for Abdulkadir Omur according to The Mirror, who is seen as a potential replacement for Adam Lallana.

The Turkish attacking midfielder is seen as the best youth product in the country at the moment, with his club Trabzonspor keen to keep hold of him. A price tag of £27 million has been mooted.

Born in 1999, Omur has been in the Trabzonspor academy since 2011 and was called up to the first team for the first time three years ago.

Given Lallana’s injury issues, it would not be a huge shock to see someone coming in to replace him, but that would more than likely be at the end of the season rather than in January.

Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards have done excellent business in recent years – not least managing to get £19 million plus for Dominic Solanke – and so their judgement is to be trusted.

For now, Lallana is likely to line up against Wolves on Monday night in the FA Cup, but sadly his Reds career could be coming to an end.
