Nabil Fekir’s agent makes superb Michael Edwards gesture

We all remember the Nabil Fekir transfer saga from last summer – who could forget it? – but now it has taken a new twist.

Reds fans on Twitter uncovered the fact that the Lyon attacking midfielder’s agent Jean-Pierre Bernes donated to Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards’ GoFundMe page yesterday.

We’re sure it’s nothing more than a nice gesture from the Frenchman’s agent, but it’s certainly got Reds fans talking – and hoping it means something more.

Jordan Henderson and Jurgen Klopp are among the other people to have donated to the page, with Edwards running a half-marathon to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

After the Fekir move broke down last summer, it’s highly unlikely that a transfer will be rekindled this year, but that won’t stop fans getting excited!

Fekir has 12 goals and seven assists in 31 appearances this season in France – and we suspect this won’t be the last we hear of him, even if a move to Anfield is highly unlikely to materialise.
