Spurs set for massive boost ahead of Champions League final

Tottenham captain and talisman Harry Kane is set to be fit to face the Reds in the Champions League final, according to Football.London.

The report claims the club is increasingly confident that their number nine will make the game in Madrid, with his latest comments not sounding like those of someone who is not expecting to feature.

Kane said, in advance of the huge game: “The atmosphere around [Spurs] is great to be honest. It’s a strange situation to be in, to not have a game for three weeks.

“It’s a hard one because it’s such a big game. You try not to think about it but it always pops into your mind during the day so it’s just about staying focused and not getting too carried away.”

While it would have been better for the Reds if Kane wasn’t going to feature, Virgil van Dijk will be confident that he can deal with his threat anyway.

The Reds have already beaten Spurs twice this season in the Premier League – there’s no reason we can’t make it a third win in a row to secure number six.
