Philippe Coutinho is highly unlikely to be a Reds player again this transfer window, though it doesn’t look like he’s going to be playing for another Premier League side either.
Arsenal were reportedly interested, but of course, have other priorities. Reliable French journalist Julien Lauren says they never wanted him in the first place.
Tottenham, meanwhile, offered to take him on loan, only for the Brazilian to reject them, according to Sky Sports News. It is claimed that he is desperate to return to the Reds, hence why he turned Spurs down, which is some turnaround from when he forced his way out of Anfield.
Seeing Coutinho play for another English club would be awful – while a lot of Reds fans would have him back on Merseyside in a heartbeat.
Seeing Coutinho play for another Premier League club that isn’t Liverpool would genuinely be hard to take…

Seeing Coutinho back in a red shirt almost certainly isn’t going to happen today. It’s likely he’ll stay at Barca at this point, given the English transfer window closes this afternoon.
Unless he moves elsewhere in Europe in the next couple of weeks, we can expect a lot of stories in the build-up to the January window about where he might end up then.
