Team news is in for the UEFA Super Cup – and Reds fans are looking forward to seeing Sadio Mane and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain back in the side.
Mane starting is at the expense of Roberto Firmino, who will begin the match on the bench. It probably means that Mo Salah will play through the centre, which could be very nice if Chelsea defend as they did at the weekend against Manchester United.
At right-back, Joe Gomez moves across in place of Trent Alexander-Arnold, with Joel Matip in at centre-back after he missed out against Norwich City. The Cameroonian is making his 100th appearance for the Reds.
Oxlade-Chamberlain will start out wide in the front three, while in midfield, James Milner is selected over Gini Wijnaldum. Naby Keita, who limped out of training yesterday, misses out completely.

We have a squad of great players and another game in less than 3 days in Southampton. I like that lineup #lfc

Really curious to see how Klopp lines out front 3. Mo or Mane at 9? If Mo, does he move Mane to RW? Ox as F9 to keep Mo & Mane in their normal positions? I think that would probably be my preference…#lfc https://t.co/FRss7ORNq3

Looks like Klopp is resting Trent & Firmino, hopefully it doesn't come back to bite us in the arse man, good to see Ox in the lineup though, roll on 8PM. #LFC

Predictably, some fans were disappointed not to see Firmino in the starting XI, but he will almost certainly come on at some point in the match. There’s a big game against Southampton at the weekend to consider as well!
