Kevin Nolan’s Combined Arsenal/Liverpool XI is genuinely barbaric

Some of the pundits they get on Sky Sports used to play football, but we can basically guarantee they don’t watch much of it anymore.

Kevin Nolan had a go at coming up with a combined Arsenal and Liverpool XI ahead of our fixture with the Gunners next weekend – and not as a windup – picked Joe Willock in midfield ahead of Fabinho.

Willock has six career Premier League appearances, while Fabinho has multiple caps for Brazil, won the title in France, won the Champions League with Liverpool and is recognised as one of the best holding midfielders on the planet.

In fairness, Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum or even James Milner should be in ahead of Willock, who’ll probably be embarrassed to see his own name in there following Nolan’s absurd decision which has obviously gone viral.

We’re not going to argue with the backline or the forwards – but the midfield? Wow!
