Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who signed a new long-term deal to remain at the club for the next few years on Thursday evening, says it is a dream come true to represent the Reds.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, who will face his former side, Arsenal, on Saturday evening, as the Gunners come to Anfield in the Premier League, has become a fans favourite in his time at the club so far, and his latest comments will do that no harm.

The midfielder is loving life at the moment and Oxlade-Chamberlain says he appreciates every second that he gets to play for the Reds.

Speaking to LiverpoolFC.com, he said: “To be able to extend any contract with a club like this is dream stuff; you’ve got to count your blessings every time you get an opportunity like this. You don’t get the chance to play for Liverpool Football Club every day.”

After winning number six in Madrid in June, the whole squad is hungry for more, and Oxlade-Chamberlain is no exception.

He added: “Winning the Champions League was massive, of course, and I think it is a team going places. Everyone is really settled here and everyone has the same vision. Everyone is hungry for the next thing and what’s next.”

There is no reason why the thing that comes next cannot be the Premier League title. Getting the three points on Saturday against Arsenal would be another step in the right direction when it comes to achieving that.
