The Reds were far from their best on Saturday against Sheffield United but Virgil van Dijk impressed the Bramall Lane spectators nonetheless.
A slightly fortunate goal from Gini Wijnaldum, with Dean Henderson, the Sheffield United goalkeeper, making a howler, was enough to maintain the Reds’ winning run and keep Manchester City, who beat Everton later the same day, five points behind.
As the tweets below from Sheffield United fans show, Van Dijk was certainly one of the Reds to stand out in Yorkshire.
