Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder outlines what makes Jurgen Klopp different as he heaps praise on German

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has praised Reds boss Jurgen Klopp after the pair shared a post-match drink at Bramall Lane on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds took the points thanks to a goalkeeping error from Dean Henderson, which allowed Gini Wijnaldum’s volley to roll over the line and into the back of the net, making it 16 Premier League wins in a row.

Wilder, despite his disappointment, was quick to praise Klopp, explaining that not every other manager bothers to take the time to have a conversation at the final whistle.

Via the Liverpool ECHO, he said: “I’m not a connoisseur of champagne, I don’t really drink a lot to be honest, but it was great to sit in a room with him.

“We’ve had a beer and chatted about the game. It’s quite refreshing because I don’t get that feel with some managers in the Premier League, which is disappointing. We’ve always had an open door policy here, so it is good to chat.”

Not only is Klopp a top coach, but he’s also a top man. Wilder is in a very priviliged position to have shared a beer with the German – most Reds fans would pay big money to be able to do that!

The Reds face Leicester City next in the Premier League but having won 16 in a row, will be full of confidence.
