Klopp admits Mo Salah’s finishing confuses him: ‘I have no idea…’

Mo Salah is certainly an enigma as an attacker!

Sometimes he looks so unnatural in front of goal – but when you look at his scoring record – you realise we’re dealing with one of the most potent forwards on the planet.

Since he arrived at Liverpool just over two years ago, he’s plundered 82 goals so far.

Last night v Rb Salzburg, Salah missed a hatful of easy chances, but then managed to bag from an absurd angle with what was the most difficult opportunity he had.

Jurgen Klopp was as baffled and delighted as we all were!

“First half, we had to put a proper shift in. When we had the ball we had sitters and didn’t score. Then Mo [Salah] scored the most difficult situation of the whole night – he scored that goal,” he told BT Sport, cited by TeamTalk

“I have no idea [how]. With his quality, how he didn’t score one or two of the others I have no clue!”

Salah has two goals in two matches now, which is great to see – as he plays with far more creativity and confidence when he’s in the goals.

For a large part of this season he’s been playing with an ankle injury, but it now seems that he’s back to his best.

We think we’ll see him against Watford on Saturday and wouldn’t bet against him adding to his tally.
