Klopp can’t hide smile when asked about ‘Very, Very good’ Minamino

Jurgen Klopp tried to tow the party line today during his press-conference ahead of the Watford clash tomorrow lunchtime, when asked about likely new signing Takumi Minamino.

At first, he said there was nothing to say, as he never speaks about potential new arrivlas – but in the end – couldn’t help a big smile and a declaration that the Japanese is a ‘very, very good player’…

According to James Pearce, Minamino will sign on January 1, providing he passes a medical, which we hope is a formality after what happened with Nabil Fekir 18 months ago!

The 24-year-old has been exceptional both in Austria but also in the Champions League this term and it became clear he had outgrown Rb Salzburg.

We reckon Minamino might make his debut in the FA Cup against Everton on January 5th, which would be very exciting.

Virgil van Dijk did the same two years ago and scored the winner – so we hope to see a repeat!
