It was guaranteed to be a day that went down in history and Virgil van Dijk couldn’t help but praise Liverpool fans after the final game of the season.
Speaking on Sky Sports about the atmosphere, our captain said: “I’ve got no words, it’s a very emotional day. Liverpool is Liverpool – it’ special and you can see it now as well.”

It was a special day and everyone inside the stadium stood up to the task of ensuring it was marked correctly for Jurgen Klopp.
