The Daily Antoine 5/5/2010 LFC News Digest

Happy Birthday Yossi Benayoun. mazal tov.

Starting off with some bad news regarding the future of our club more…
(That sucks)

The reserves beat Sunderland in their last game of the season more…
(Not a bad season for the ressies, hopefully some of that energy will be transfered to the first team next season, YNWA)

I do not usually agree with the mainstream media but here are Rafa’s best 5 and worst 5 transfers at LFC more…
(Well Pellegrino did return as a coach so maybe it was not a bad transfer after all because it did introduce him to Liverpool)

And the club insists that Rafa is not going anywhere more…

(Y.N.W.A.)

The Gaffer has canceled two meetings with Martin Broughton more…
(Typical Rafa, putting the team before his own personal interest)

According to this report Kenny Dalglish will become manager should Rafa leave more…
(I wish I knew what was going on)

Steve Morgan says he is happy he bought Wolves instead of Liverpool more…
(We are glad for you too)

Reserve keeper Dean Bouzanis is hoping for a World Cup call more…
(Good luck)

Torres might miss the World Cup opener more…
(Sorry to be selfish but I hope he missed the entire world cup so he can rest for next season)

However the Daily Fail is linking El Nino with Chelsea now more…
(I think Manchester United are the only major club that have not been linked with El Nino)

And now West Ham are after Joe Cole more…
(This is going to be our story now, we will have to compete with the likes of West Ham for players)

Marko Pantelic is being linked with Liverpool more…
(Show me the money)

And finally here is a good read about Tom Hicks more…

(Interesting who his neighbour is, something must be wrong with the water)

  1. One of the reports say that torres and gerrard leave if rafa stays. Will this happen? are the luverpool players dissatisfied with rafa as manager?

  2. You are right Antoine..Torres hasn’t been linked with Manchester United since last summer…thats quite sometime now..!!

  3. I think Torres would be more inclined to leave if Rafa left to be honest, but couldn’t say about Stevie as his future has been in the balance a few times! Hope this summer will bring back some happiness and these rumours get squashed sooner rather than later

  4. I’m confused how was Robbie Keane not a Rafa buy? But then I didn’t think he did too bad, just the typical media getting on his case, would have been a great partner for Torres as Keane had a hunger for sucess not personal glory, never saw him as a failure and always sad it never worked out for him at Anfield

  5. There is no decision to be made re: Rafa vs. Torres. Simple really – Taxi for Rafa. Not sure how any LFC fan could disagree with this.

  6. @brandon if you follow the link you’ll notice someone has put a mock article up to take the piss out of Berbatov not scoring as many as they have scored own goals this year!

  7. Steve – agreed, Rafa has certainly had a positive effect on Torres, which is why I’ll be sad to see him go. He is a good manager but it’s time for a new challenge – Torres is much more important to LFC than Rafa – FACT!

  8. There isn’t even a debait here. If there is a choice between rafa and torres it’s bye bye rafa. However all this is newspaper crap. Let’s wait and see what happens. Torres is on a long deal there is no danger. Let’s get rid of our ass hole owners first. Priorities!!

  9. Well you make a great arguement, Did Torres bring back King Kenny? Torres been working tirelessly building an academy for the youth to come through correctly? And forgot he put his club before country at every turn! Oh wait he didn’t FACT! At the end of it all they are both huge to the club eiher way you look at things so they both should be staying

  10. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1221975/Rafa-Benitezs-229m-spending-spree-The-76-players-signed-Liverpool-managers-reign.html

that’s a link to Rafa’s complete list of signings. I hope you all know that he complains constantly about lack of funds, yet the man has spent 229mil pounds of our “Oh So Awful” American owners. If any manager spent that much money, they would have an amazing team even if it was spread out between a few seasons.

I am a Liverpool faithful and stick to the Liverpool way and that is to support Liverpool through thick and thin, but I can no longer stand by and watch this man ruin our club.

He is an over-paid clown that needs to leave. Rafa Out.

  11. Dear god he chose the daily mail as his source Antoine give this guy a huge real fan medal please! That post is a complete fail just like the paper itself! I bet you also agree with the views of Stan Wobblymore and Andy Gray! It’s a well documented fact that yes he’s spent money but he’s pretty much had to balance his books while doing it! Don’t call yourself a real fan while quoting the daily mail
