The teenager, who returned from two months out through injury against Newcastle United on Monday, is cup-tied for today’s fixture, having played for Derby County during the earlier rounds of the competition.
He’ll undoubtedly be a big miss for the Reds today, with Adam Lallana and Daniel Sturridge also sidelined through injury.
The trio of absentees has allowed room for Lazar Markovic to make a surprise return, his first start since the defeat to Arsenal. He’ll play alongside Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho in a front three.
However, Ibe was quick to post this message of support on social media, perfectly capturing a burst of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ from the Liverpool faithful, who have clearly travelled to the capital in strong numbers.
