Jurgen Klopp was entirely satisfied with his players despite their relatively uninspiring 0-0 draw in Switzerland last night with FC Sion.
He praised the player’s ‘character’ (Brendan?!), but was also keen to point out that Liverpool did what they needed to – with a draw securing first place in the group.
“Everybody who thought this tournament wasn’t a first-class tournament has to now change their mind. Because it’s a small Champions League and I’m looking forward to the draw!” Klopp added.
The Reds can draw a number of strong sides, including Borussia Dortmund who finished second in their group, opening up the possibility of a hugely romantic tie with the German’s former club!
