No, we’re not talking about his crunching tackle on Raheem Sterling (although that’s another valid reason!).

Rather, we talking about this incredible interception on the stroke of half-time in our 3-0 win over Man City on Wednesday night.

Sergio Aguero picked up the ball on the corner of the penalty area, and the attack was looking menacing. Sterling charged in from deep, and if the ball had reached him it could have easily ended up in the back of the net in front of the Kop.

Flanno was having none of it.

Look at his passion, drive, and determination to get back and clear the danger:

Can you really see Alberto Moreno showing that kind of hunger? It just wouldn’t happen.

Surely Flanno needs to be given a new deal ASAP? Klopp spoke about it on Tuesday (via Independent), but if he had any lingering doubts they must now have been eradicated.
