Liverpool quash rumours that Ian Ayre will leave before the summer

There have been lots of rumours swirling around the future of Ian Ayre today.

The club’s CEO has already announced that he will stand down next summer, but there have recently been whispers that he might leave even soon and take up a role with German second-tier side TSV 1860 Munich.

However, according to Fenway Sports Group, he will not be going anywhere.

Apparently, FSG know he has been speaking to Jordanian businessman Hasan Ismaik. He is the 1860 Munich’s majority shareholder and is planning a major investment over the coming months in a bid to get the side back into the Bundesliga.
