Liverpool played out a 2-2 draw with Sporting Lisbon a few hours ago, in our final friendly of the pre-season tour of America.
It hasn’t gone especially well and we leave the States without a win under our belt, but put in a decent performance versus the Portuguese.
Divock Origi and Gini Wijnaldum scored, but the main talking point after the game was Bruno Fernandes – Sporting’s sublime playmaker – who scored and assisted.
Liverpool have been linked with the 24-year-old regularly, such as here in Portuguese outlet Correio de Manha, but as of yet, Fernandes seems more likely to sign for our rivals Manchester United.
At full-time, however, Jurgen Klopp was seen having an intimate word with the star – and tonnes of Reds on Twitter found it very exciting!
We think there’s a bare minimum chance of Liverpool buying Fernandes, sadly, as he’d be a potentially brilliant addition.
But we have to have faith in the management’s game-plan. After all, they just won us the Champions League – and if Klopp is happy with what he has – so be it.
Would fully support Jurgen Klopp giving Bruno Fernandes a hug at full time and not letting him go so he can bring him back.

After scoring a goal vs Liverpool in their 2-2 friendly match, Bruno Fernandes captured by cameras with Klopp having his arm around him and speaking to him. What could this conversation have been about? pic.twitter.com/e65YySwCpf
