  1. What an absolute mess! This is not over by a long shot. Despite Broughtons previous positive spin, administration is still a 50-50 chance according to Anfield insiders. Don’t be surprised if Hicks has something up his sleeve. Why would he spend big money fighting the case in court when he knows full well that the RBS can call in the loans – which he cannot pay, anytime it wants after October 15, even if he wins? That will only cause further chaos for the club AND the bank itself. Hicks may be correctly gambling on the RBS extending the deadline by two or three months in which time he could find someone to refinance the loans. This mess will not be sorted out anytime soon raising the odds that NESV could pull out of the deal altogether.
