Star striker aggravates thigh problem…
If it wasn’t enough that Roy Hodgson is one of the worst Liverpool managers in memory, the England boss has wound supporters up further with his comments on Daniel Sturridge’s latest injury, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Sturridge has aggravated his seemingly never ending thigh problem, and will miss his expected return against Crystal Palace – although the extent of the problem is not yet known.
Hodgson though, isn’t too worried about the injury because his England team don’t play again until Spring next year…
“It’s really bad news,” Hodgson said.
“The only positive with that is we don’t play again until March.
“It’s a big blow for Liverpool. Hopefully by March he will be okay.”
Following the devastating injury news, the last thing on our star striker’s mind will be England’s next match with Lithuania at the very end of March.
Instead, he’ll be focussing more on the fact that this is the second time he’s re-injured the thigh strain he originally pulled with the national team at the very start of the season.
