The striker was impressed by the Swansea result and wants to get back involved.
There was one particularly keen viewer during the 4-1 Premier League victory over Swansea City on Monday night and that was Daniel Sturridge.
The England international hasn’t played for us since the end of August with a string of injuries eventually leading Brendan Rodgers to send the striker to Los Angeles for specialist treatment.
We’ve clearly missed Sturridge’s goals during his absence – with Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert all failing to impress – and the 25-year-old took to Twitter to reveal his excitement about getting back into the starting XI.
Just finished watching the game. I can’t wait to be back playing in that team and scoring goals!! Top class performance from them.
