It’s not unreasonable to think that the season would be going a lot better for Liverpool had Daniel Sturridge been fit throughout.
After all, he contributed 21 goals to the team’s Premier League tally last term, with Luis Suarez scoring 31 times.
Without those two, it’s hardly surprising that we struggled for goals in the first half of the season – and yet we’re still close to the top four.
With Sturridge fit, we have perhaps the most dangerous finisher in the Premier League. So long as he avoids injury, we have a real opportunity to push up the table.
