Has Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin dropped an unsubtle hint that he wishes to be playing his football at Anfield next season…?
The 25-year-old could well leave Loftus Road at the end of the season, as despite his best efforts, Chris Ramsey’s men will be heading back into the Championship. Austin has stood out, having scored 17 times.
And, according to the Daily Mirror, we are one of the sides keen on making sure that the forward remains in the Premier League. However, the Mirror also report that it would take £20m to sign him.
Perhaps afraid that we have been put off by the price, Austin has posted a very strange tweet, exclaiming how good our Champions League final against AC Milan was nearly a decade ago.
Ac Milan v Liverpool 2005 what a night

While he is obviously speaking the truth, it does seem odd to make the claim when the ten year anniversary is still a week away.
