This is arguably the worst attempt at Brendan Rodgers’ Northern Irish accent we’ve ever heard – but Christian Benteke’s agent Kismit Eris fell for it hook line and sinker.

In the phone prank, Eris confirmed that his client would do ‘everything legally possible’ to leave Aston Villa this summer – because he wants to play European football.
But he refused to speculate on the rumoured £32.5m release clause, while admitting that his client ‘would not sign a new contract’…
Finally, Eris claimed that no other Premier League clubs had made a bid for the giant Belgian yet.
We’re apparently keen on the striker, but have baulked at the asking price – and rightly so. If Benteke really will refuse to extend his deal though, the potential price-tag could plummet.
