Philippe Coutinho – 8/10
Again, perhaps a mark short on what we’d have given. He shone so regularly and while his numbers in terms of goals and assists might not blow you away, his inclusion in the PFA Team of the Year proves his immense worth.
Jose Enrique – 1/10
He’s better known for his presence on social media than he is on the football pitch these days. Still, to give him one out of ten implies that he’s done something truly awful. The honest truth is he simply hasn’t played – very harsh.
Steven Gerrard – 6/10
There was obviously little in the way of sentimental bonus marks from most Liverpool fans for our outgoing captain. Despite him being our top scorer in all competitions, his influence was admittedly not as great as it once was and it probably is the right summer for him to jet-off into the LA sunset.
Jordan Henderson – 7/10
Another sign of the changing times – Gerrard outscored by the man who may well replace him as Liverpool captain. Henderson was excellent throughout the vast majority of the campaign and we have to agree with this.
