We have officially confirmed the signing of four signings already this summer, and there will hopefully be plenty more to come. But how do the transfers we’ve made so far fit into our current side?

Here is a possible starting XI which includes all four of our signings so far:
GK) Adam Bogdan

The Hungarian almost certainly won’t be our first choice shot-stopper next season, especially when you consider the fine form of Simon Mignolet in 2015. He is a far better back-up than what we currently have however, and we won’t be left with hearts in mouths every time Mignolet gets a knock.
RB) Joe Gomez

The versatile young defender is probably more likely to have a future at centre-back, and may not even break into the first team in his debut season at the club. We are currently lacking options at right-back though, and Gomez is more than capable of playing there when needed.
LB) Alberto Moreno
The Spaniard has shown glimpses of real quality since his arrival, and assuming we move away from a three at the back formation he should be a regular starter.
CB) Martin Skrtel
Unquestionably our best defender, Skrtel has proved hugely important to our success. He is one of the first names on the teamsheet, and is one of the first names on this list.
CB) Mamadou Sakho
Brendan Rodgers experimented with a number of players partnering Skrtel last season, with Dejan Lovren and Kolo Toure seeing a fair bit of action. If it weren’t for injuries however, Sakho would most likely be the one to start alongside the Slovakian.
