Liverpool ready to welcome loan bids for Spanish starlet Sergi Canos

The Reds are reportedly willing to allow midfielder Sergi Canos to go out on loan this season, as we attempt to further aid the promising Spanish starlet in his development.

Canos, who signed for us from Barcelona in 2013, was among the scorers on Wednesday as the Reds were held to a 3-3 draw in the mini-Merseyside derby against neighbours Everton.

And now the 18-year-old, who trained with the first-team at times last season, is looking to follow in the footsteps of Sheyi Ojo, Andre Wisdom and Danny Ward by sealing a short-term deal elsewhere.

According to reports in the Liverpool Echo, Canos is ranked alongside Tiago Ilori and Joao Carlos Teixiera as one of our second string’s most exciting prospects, despite being four years younger than his two teammates and only having made his debut for the Under-21 side last season.

Brendan Rodgers could choose to keep the trio for use in the Europa League and other cup competitions, but the Echo suggests that coach Michael Beale is keen to loan out his stars as he believes it is crucial to their development.
