Former Red refutes Diouf’s shocking comments about Steven Gerrard

Posted by

Former Red Ryan Babel has unsurprisingly come out in support of Steven Gerrard after El-Hadji Diouf claimed that our former captain did not like black players who were not English (via Le 10 Sport).

The Senegalese had reacted badly to comments made by Gerrard in his upcoming autobiography, in which he stated that Diouf – whose career has been shrouded in controversy – was the Liverpool signing that he liked the least (via Liverpool Echo).

The former Leeds and Bolton man responded to Gerrard’s claims by making the outrageous suggestion that our icon never liked black players, before also claiming that Gerrard was jealous of what Diouf had achieved during his career, as per Le 10 Sport.

Luckily, before this ludicrous rumour picks up the slightest hint of momentum, Babel has defended Gerrard and refuted Diouf’s claims by highlighting that he never had a problem with his former teammate.

Babel’s evidence shows how bitter Diouf is; that his time in England will be remembered for poor performances and a disgraceful attitude, while Gerrard has cemented his legacy as one of the Premier League’s greatest ever players.
