Liverpool predicted XI v Watford: Mamadou Sakho to come back in for Dejan Lovren

Liverpool have picked up just one point in our past two fixtures, so it’s imperative that we get back on track against in-form Watford, who are are actually one point ahead of us.

Picking Liverpool’s starting defence is easy nowadays, with Jurgen Klopp’s hand forced by injuries.

Dejan Lovren has been partnering Martin Skrtel while Mamadou Sakho’s been injured, but with the Frenchman fit again and the Croat leaving the field on a stretcher – Sakho will come back into the side.

Naturally, Nathaniel Clyne and Alberto Moreno will continue at fullback, while Simon Mignolet starts in goal – surely desperate for a quiet afternoon following last Sunday’s blunder.

It’s a little trickier to predict the rest of the side. With it being an away fixture against a team playing well, Lucas should return to the anchorman role. He offers more protection than Emre Can, who could play in one of the more advanced central positions instead. Captain Jordan Henderson is surely an automatic selection nowadays, so we think James Milner will make way. The vice-captain hasn’t impressed recently and could benefit from a break.

Fit again Coutinho is guaranteed a spot in the front-three, while we’d like him to start with Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino. The trio started the demolitions of Chelsea and Manchester City, and with Christian Benteke out of form and Daniel Sturridge injured, we think these three should be given another go.
