It’s great that players around the world are getting so involved with social media, it really is.
It gives their adoring fans a sneaky look at a lifestyle most can only dream of, it lets them express their feelings and frustrations away from the gaze of the TV cameras, and it let’s them demonstrate how absolutely bonkers some of them are (we’re looking at you, Jose Enrique).
With Enrique presumably on his way out of the club either this month or in the summer, the race to become our next social media village idiot is starting to heating up.

What exactly is going on here?! Why is everyone so keen to find Mamadou? How did he get lost in the first place? Why is he playing around on Snapchat rather than sitting in the physio’s room? Is this supposed to be funny? Why does Coutinho speak in English rather than Portuguese? And where on earth did Mamadou find all those fans just chilling outside the stadium?!
