Jurgen Klopp’s always very good value in Liverpool press-conferences, but during his pre-Manchester United chat today he wasn’t in the mood to go into detail about Daniel Sturridge.
The reporter asked two questions on the crocked forward, who tweeted on Boxing Day to say he was fit and ready to return, but Klopp rebutted them both.

“Is Sturridge fit?” “No.”
“Any idea when he might be back?” “No.”
Sturridge hasn’t played since a 28 minute cameo versus Newcastle at the start of December, and has made just three Premier League starts all season.
It appears that Klopp’s patience is wearing thin, at least with the journalists asking about the forward’s return, but perhaps with the player too.
On Sturridge’s day he’s our best player, but the fact we never get to see that day makes his presence at the club difficult to deal with. We constantly wait for him to regain fitness, but he seemingly cannot get through a training session without picking up another niggling problem.
Will he even play another game this season?! When will it end?
