Daniel Sturridge is a £45m target for PSG with Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaving

Huge transfer rumour alert!

Ligue 1 champions and European heavyweights PSG have earmarked Daniel Sturridge as a potential summer transfer target.

Every English paper has covered the story, but the Daily Mail got to it first – claiming the French would be prepared to pay around £45m for the talented forward.

As a result, a delegation from PSG will watch England’s friendly with Holland at Wembley in order to check Sturridge out first hand.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is leaving PSG this summer on the expiration of his contract, while the report suggests Edinson Cavani’s future isn’t certain either.

As a result, PSG could move for our brilliant, if perpetually injured forward…

The Daily Mail think Sturridge would be open to a move which would dramatically increase his wages. Under Jurgen Klopp, Sturridge has sulked when subbed on a few occasions and been held back when he’s claimed he’s fit.

He’s notched five goals in total this campaign, with Liverpool spending much of the season waiting for Sturridge to get fit.

For this reason, it seems absurd Liverpool would consider a sale, but some will suggest an offer near £50m will be too good to refuse for a player with Sturridge’s injury history.
