Daniel Sturridge is in seriously good form, and he’ll need to keep it up as we’re without Divock Origi for likely the remainder of the season.
Starting up top against Newcastle today, Sturridge found the back of the net after just one minute, much to the delight of the Kop behind the goal.
The striker latched onto a long ball from Alberto Moreno, before controlling, swivelling and finishing with his lethal left foot to give Liverpool a 1-0 lead.
Sturridge has 11 goals in total, and considering it’s only his 15th start this term, the return is very impressive.
Crazy to think what he could have finished with this season had he stayed healthy.
