Jamie Carragher has never been one to mince his words, and the SkySports pundit has let rip after watching Liverpool concede a last-minute goal to lose the first leg of the Europa League semi-final 1-0 to Villarreal.
Speaking on Twitter, he called the goal “unforgivable”.
Unforgivable to lose a goal on the counter attack in last minute of a European away game. But still fancy us to go through.

Earlier in the match he’d also criticised Klopp’s decision not to introduce Daniel Sturridge:
How long before people stop saying “This front 3 played away at City” Sturridge got to come into the equation.

It was a sentiment that many fans agreed with on Twitter, with Villarreal clearly there for the taking during the second half.
Instead, we’ve given ourselves an uphill battle to make the final, with the 1-0 loss being our first defeat of the season in Europe. Sadly, it came at the worst possible time.

We will say this though – we agree with Carra, we think we’ll progress.
