We will not be completing our move for Piotr Zielinski until after the conclusion of EURO 2016.

According to the Echo, the Polish international has told Liverpool chiefs to wait as he wants to focus on the tournament.

It is thought we have agreed a £12 million deal with his current club Udinese and we reportedly hoped to get the deal done this week.

However, with Poland finishing second to Germany in Group C and thus progressing to the last 16, Zielinski will now be in action against Switzerland on Saturday in Saint-Ètienne (kick-off 2pm BST).

We have been chasing Zielinski for months and have successfully fended off Napoli in the race to land his signature. The player has spent the last two seasons on loan at Empoli, bagging five goals and four assists last term.

Poland will play either Portugal or Croatia in the quarters if they beat the Swiss.
